Prep year is a very important one. It is during this time that your child settles into habits and routines which will help guide his/her learning throughout school.

‘Prep year’ states what it is – a preparatory year. It is one of many experiences and activities on which future learning is based. However, much of the learning cannot be measured and in many cases is unseen.

Within a caring, friendly atmosphere, your child will be encouraged to try, to do and to progress through the early stages of reading, writing and mathematics.

Encourage a positive attitude by making cheerful comments about school. If you are positive, your child will feel happy and relaxed.
